Hope After Loss, formerly the Hygeia Foundation, is a community of women and men who grieve the loss of a pregnancy or infant. Through peer support, burial assistance, education, and awareness initiatives, we provide connections, comfort, and care to those who have experienced the loss of a baby. The website includes information for professionals, as well as family and friends. Resources and links to additional sites are also included.
CaringInfo, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), is a national consumer and community engagement initiative to improve care at the end of life, supported by a grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This organization provides free resources and information to help people make decisions about end-of-life care and services before a crisis occurs. They offer information for those planning ahead, those caring for a loved one, those grieving a loss, and professionals in the field.
Barr-Harris Children's Grief Center Web Site
This site, created by the folks at the Barr-Harris Children's Grief Clinic in Chicago IL, is about children's grief. It has a number of resources: lists of books for children and adolescents and for parents and other adults, a scholarly bibliography, and a FAQ page that answers questions like, "Should children attend funerals?". Simple design but informative.
A Heartbreaking Choice
A unique resource for parents who have terminated a pregnancy after learning their baby has severe birth defects.
