South Central Alabama Mental Health Center is more than a 501(c)(3) organization — we are a compassionate community dedicated to supporting individuals living with mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities across Butler, Coffee, Covington, and Crenshaw counties. Each year, we serve approximately 4,500 individuals, driven by a mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we help.
Why Work With Us
At South Central, we don’t just serve our community — we are part of it. South Central was established by the local governments of Butler, Coffee, Covington, and Crenshaw Counties, along with the Cities of Opp, Florala, Andalusia, Red Level, Greenville, Brantley, Luverne, Elba, and Enterprise. With generous support from local governments and philanthropic agencies, we are able to extend care to those who need it most. We are committed to hiring passionate, skilled professionals and providing them with the resources they need to succeed in their roles, grow personally and professionally, and make a real impact.
