Certified Peer Specialists draw on their own lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery to provide unique guidance and mutual support. Through shared understanding, respect, and a non-judgmental approach, peer support enhances traditional therapeutic interventions and fosters deeper connection and empowerment.

Peer support for adults, youth, and families
Peer Support Services are available to adults, youth, and parents/caregivers involved in mental health or substance use services. Parent Peer Specialists have personally parented a child with emotional or behavioral challenges. Youth Peer Specialists have lived experience as young people. All Certified Peer Specialists complete state-approved training and are supervised by a Rehabilitative Services Professional.
