Psychiatric Urgent Care
Walk-in behavioral health urgent care — accepting all referrals regardless of age, ability to pay, or clinical condition. Peer support, psychiatric evaluation, nursing care, medication management, lab services, and warm hand-offs to ongoing care.
Somewhere to go — for any behavioral health crisis
SCAMHC's Psychiatric Urgent Care Center/Crisis Facility accepts all walk-ins and referrals from hospital emergency departments, law enforcement, probate courts, mental health and substance abuse treatment providers, and emergency services personnel. All individuals who present are clinically assessed regardless of eligibility criteria. If a person's condition requires a level of care outside the scope of the Urgent Care Center (e.g., medical hospitalization or acute inpatient psychiatric care), the facility makes those arrangements and does not shift responsibility to the initial referral source. Access-to-care number: 1-877-530-0002.
- Accepts all walk-ins and referrals — voluntary or involuntary
- No age, income, or diagnosis requirement for assessment
- Every person greeted upon arrival by a Peer Support Specialist for triage
- If higher-level care is needed, the facility arranges transfer — never shifts responsibility
