Law enforcement officers, healthcare providers, and other first responders can initiate direct contact with our behavioral health crisis team using the dedicated blue button on MyCare iPad tablets. The initial contact is fully confidential — no record is created until the individual is formally referred into services. This tool is designed to give first responders fast, discreet access to the support they need, when and where they need it.

The MyCare tablet pathway
Step 1 — Press the Blue Button
The first responder presses the dedicated blue button on the MyCare iPad tablet to initiate contact with SCAMHC's behavioral health crisis team.
Step 2 — Real-Time Support
Behavioral health staff provide immediate emotional support, guidance, and crisis assistance in real time.
Step 3 — Referral if Needed
If further support is needed, the individual is referred to appropriate behavioral health services — outpatient, urgent care, or crisis teams.
Step 4 — Record Created at Intake
A client record is only created at the point of formal intake into referred services. The initial contact remains fully confidential.
