Care that meets you where the system does.
Specialized behavioral health services for individuals involved with the court system, juvenile justice, and county jails — from court-referred education and forensic residential care to juvenile liaison services and reentry case management.
Behavioral health and the legal system — bridged.
Involvement with the justice system doesn't disqualify someone from receiving quality mental health and substance use care. SCAMHC provides a full continuum of services specifically designed for justice-involved individuals — from court-ordered education classes and forensic residential treatment to juvenile court coordination and jail-based reentry case management. Our goal is to reduce recidivism, restore competency, and support lasting community reintegration.

Court or Agency Referral
Most justice-involved services begin through a court or agency referral — from a Court Referral Officer, the Covington County Jail, the Juvenile Court, or the Department of Human Resources.
Intake & Assessment
SCAMHC conducts an intake evaluation to determine the appropriate level of care — whether education classes, outpatient services, residential placement, or forensic care.
Connected to Services
Individuals are connected to the appropriate program and level of care, with ongoing coordination with the court, DHR, jail, or other involved agencies throughout the process.
